Allen Schultz

In 1987 Allen Schultz graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. He was hired immediately following graduation by the company that he interned with during his last year at school. He remained with this company for 16 years until it was bought out and eventually dismantled.

During this 16 year period, as technology advanced so did Allen's knowledge and experience. He was responsible for researching and educating himself and remaining up to date with these advances. He became an expert in installing, troubleshooting and maintaining UNIX and Linux servers. He learned how to setup local networks, working with routers and firewalls. Soon his company was integrating Windows PCs as workstations on these servers, eventually working their way into the wireless world. As the Internet became more popular they found opportunities for their clients to benefit with remote access, email and instant messaging. They remained on the cutting edge of technology for the benefit of their customers.

When the company was dismantled rather than looking at it as a setback Allen took it as an opportunity. He took all his skills and experience and started developing websites for friends and family and eventually came to work for NicheLabs. He enjoys working with NicheLabs and sees it as an opportunity to grow and learn with a new company.
